Write a letter to your 1 Representative and to your 2 Senators asking them to ensure that the US government does not weaken the FCTC during the next round of negotiations as it did during the last rounds of negotiations. Write a letter to the president, asking him to ensure that the US government does not emasculate the FCTC, and to please take a leadership role during the next round of FCTC negotiations. Write a letter to the Head of Health and Human Services, Secretary Tommy Thompson, asking him to ensure that the US delegation takes a leadership role in fighting the tobacco epidemic by supporting a strong and meaningful Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. Secretary Tommy Thompson 4. Contact Health Organizations and ask them to support the FCTC. Ask them to send you information on their position towards the FCTC and what they are doing to support it.
